Ephemeral gully erosion is an important erosion type in Loess Plateau.this article explained the concept of ephemeral gully and ephemeral gully erosion,and reviewed the development process of ephemeral gully erosion.This paper emphatically analyzed the major influencing factors of ephemeral gully development,and according to these factors,prevention measures of reduced the ephemeral gully erosion have been suggested.
